Essential Comprehension, Organization
and Communication Tools
Learn how to make the best use of visual thinking and learning strategies to improve student success in this three-hour, on-site professional development workshop. Participants will develop the knowledge and ability to apply proven visual learning techniques through the use of Inspiration® 9 to help students develop critical thinking, planning, organization, outlining and writing skills.
Led by an Inspiration® Software certified trainer, participants will explore ways to use these teaching methods in their specific education settings, discuss examples for classroom instruction, integrate technology into the curriculum and become proficient Inspiration users. Aligned with Common Core State Standards, Inspiration will help students develop the required skills necessary for college and career readiness.

Participants will:
- Learn to tap the power of active visual learning to help students better analyze, synthesize and demonstrate their understanding.
- Increase knowledge of visual learning concepts and techniques, and how to apply the techniques to help students learn.
- Learn how to optimize these strategies by using Inspiration, the ultimate thinking and learning tool for concept mapping, mind mapping, outlining, writing and making presentations.
- Develop proficiency with Inspiration’s many tools, including Diagram View, Map View, Outline View and Presentation Manager, and understand how they can support effective teaching and learning methods.
- Explore the best ways to use Inspiration in specific education settings.

- Build supporting materials, such as speaker notes and handouts, to effectively deliver oral presentations
