Upgrade Information

Learn what's new in Kidspiration® 3! [8]

If you are a Kidspiration user, you will still be able to read your files and use your previously created activities and symbol libraries with Kidspiration 3. One of the many great features of Kidspiration 3 is that you can save your Kidspiration 3 files as Kidspiration 2 files, for exchanging with others who haven't yet upgraded.

Single license upgrades

Kidspiration 2.1b US Updater

Download the Kidspiration^® 2.1b updater
The current version for Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT 4.0, ME or XP is 2.1.

Note: This updater is for the US edition only.

Windows users currently running Kidspiration 2.x will be updated to version 2.1. Macintosh users currently running Kidspiration 2.x will be updated to version 2.1.b.

How to download and run the updater

Windows

Click the Kidspiration 2.1 updater link above. Once the download is complete, double click on the file "Kidspiration 2.1 Updater."

Macintosh OS X
Kidspiration 2.1b requires Mac OS X version 10.1.5 or higher.

Running the Kidspiration 2.1b OS X Updater will update your existing version of Kidspiration. To continue to also run Kidspiration in OS 9, it is recommended that you make a separate copy of the Kidspiration folder to use as the OS X version. If you did not customize the installation of Kidspiration, this folder will be located in the Applications (Mac OS 9) folder.

Click the 2.1b updater link above. Once the download is complete, double-click Kidspiration 2.1 Updater OS X.

Note: The 2.1b updater is a ZIP compressed file. If it does not decode automatically, you will need to double-click the ZIP file. Contained inside the ZIP file is an OS X disk image file (DMG). Double-click the DMG file to mount the disk image on your desktop.

Support for Mac OS X version 10.4.x. This update is intended for both the Intel Mac platform using Apple's Rosetta technology and for the PowerPC Mac platform.

Kidspiration® 2.1a requires Mac OS X version 10.1.5 or higher.
