As an instructional leader in her school, Silver Star winner Vicky Richter, library media center teacher, Benjamin Middle School, Benjamin School District 25, West Chicago, Ill., works with teachers at all grade levels to help them integrate visual learning into instruction. A Social Studies project involved students creating a concept map of ancient Greece — incorporating four or five main ideas and branching off to smaller ideas. Each student shared their thoughts with others visually thanks to Inspiration and our interactive whiteboard.
