The students will create a map of a rural community using only the objects in the map key. The students will create bridges, rivers, and lakes using the symbol maker. To find most objects, type in the name of the object above "Find" For airport, type airplane. To find restaurant, type table setting. To find grocery, type in food.
I also taught the students how to do the copy and paste shortcuts to save time. When finished, the students drag over a textbox and name their community.
