The students will create a map of a suburban community using only the objects in the map key. The students will create bridges, rivers, and lakes using the symbol maker. To find most objects, type in the name of the object above "Find" For grocery, type food. To find restaurant, type table setting.
I also taught the students how to do the copy and paste shortcuts to save time. When finished, the students drag over a textbox and name their community. Attached is an example.
