Meet the Contributors to the Inspiration Software Blog! Our goal is to post regular entries about current education topics of interest, thoughts and ideas about technology in education and teaching tips to help you integrate our products in your classroom! Please comment and share your thoughts to keep the conversation going.

Meg Courtnage, Education Development Manager for Mathematics, taught math in a variety of settings, including Oregon and Mississippi public schools, at the elementary, middle and high school levels. She holds a Masters degree in Mathematics Education from Lewis and Clark Graduate School of Education and a Bachelors in Economics from Carleton College. Meg is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM).

Lucy Belgum, Education Development Manager for Language arts, has more than 25 years experience in a broad array of educational settings ranging from a one-room schoolhouse in Nebraska to Denver’s populous public school system. She taught at elementary and middle school levels, including both TAG and Title I programs and has experience as a Literacy Coach and Staff Developer. Lucy holds a Masters degree in Reading from the University of Northern Colorado and a Bachelors in Elementary Education from Wayne State College.
Cathy Cuff is Education Development Manager for Science. A native Oregonian, Cathy taught science at the elementary and middle school levels and computer networking at the high school level for a combination of sixteen years total in Oregon. She holds a Masters degree in School Counseling from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Bachelors in Integrated Science and Secondary Education from Western Oregon University.
Valerie White is a Training Associate within the Education and Development Department. A relative newbie to the Inspiration Software team, Valerie brings in previous experience from the education realm and an enthusiastic attitude towards helping customers with their specific training needs. She holds a Bachelors degree in Speech Communications from Oregon State University where she also taught freshman orientation classes.

Crystal Miller, Senior Professional Development Specialist, is responsible for internal company training and external professional development programs related to Inspiration Software products and thinking skills. She is the project manager for our webcast series which launched in April 2008. Before Crystal joined the Inspiration Software team in 2005, she taught English as a Second Language at Wenzhou Medical College in Zhejiang Province, China. She holds a Bachelor(s) in Sociology and Biology and is currently working on her MS in Education, Training & Development.

Andrea Sutherland, Vice President of Marketing and Education Development, has over 20 years of teaching, training and education management experience, and is a member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD). Prior to joining Inspiration Software, Sutherland led Instructional Design and Training Departments for both LSI Logic and Intel Corporation. Sutherland received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science from California Polytechnic State San Luis Obispo, and a Master's degree of Education from California State University East Bay.
