This activity is designed to have students use an online virtual experiment to build background knowledge on acids, neutrals, and bases and their properties. It was designed for a 5th grade science lesson with Tennessee Learning Accomplishment 5.13.spi.3 identify a substance as an acid (i.e. vinegar or lemon juice) or a base (i.e. soap or baking soda).
