For preparation of World Math Day and being "visible" on the internet We discussed the use of "Avatars" as being our safe mode. Then the students used the Symbol maker in Kidspiration to create / design their own Avatar. They named their avatar by using just their initials. Even my 5th grade students enjoyed the activity. First and second grade did the activity with me in the media center using the Smartboard. I attended the STEM webcast.
