This InspireData activity contains a student data tab, and a sample data tab with sample plots that can be deleted (saved elsewhere) before students begin to work. The student data tab can be used to record findings after research of the eight planets and one dwarf planet in our solar system has been conducted. The activity can also be used to compare and contrast planet characteristics while analyzing the data that is collected. The activity can be used in grades 6-8 or as a TAG or extension activity for grades 3-5. This template addresses the National Science standard: Understands the composition and structure of the universe and the Earth's place in it.
