Description :

Use this InspireData lesson to have the class, as a group, select the five top soap brands for bubble strength. These five soap brands will drive the experimental portion of this activity. Purchase the five soaps and record the names in the Soaps Template of the Soap Bubble Experiment Database found in InspireData (InspireData Starter Screen>Databases>Science>Soap Bubble Experiment. Next, have the students work in five lab groups, each with a different soap from the soap brand list. Students will blow bubbles, against a smooth surface, and measure diameter of each popped bubble (in centimeters). Each group will record their results using e-Survey, which allows easy collection of data from any computer connected to the Internet. The data will be compiled into one table for the class to analysis and compare the actual bubble strength of the five soap brands. Attached is a .jpg image of the e-Survey for this activity.
