I used this writing guide with two PowerPoint projects, but it can be a standalone project to get kids thinking and writing about being environmentally conscientious. Using this Inspiration template, students were asked to write a title and short paragraph explaining what they would commit to doing to help protect the Earth. This information was later transferred to a PowerPoint slide and then printed as a poster. In the other project, the students were asked to prepare the writing for an eleven-page booklet with a title page and subsequent pages stating ten ways to save the Earth. (This project was also later transferred to eleven PowerPoint slides and printed in a small slide format to be transformed into a little booklet.) This Inspiration document served as the prewriting phase of each project. I had the students use it in the "Outline"mode.
