
Students who are learning basic concepts of multiplication and division can use this Kidspiration activity to build arrays. In the context of four different garden story problems, students use symbols to build arrays, find a solution, and write a number sentence. The information provided in each scenario (rows in the garden vs. number in each row vs. total number of plants) is varied to provide different contexts for students.
