Independence and Ideas: July Themes at Inspiration

Hello, Thinkspiration Readers!

July’s arrived in a big way here in Portland, and we hope it’s warm where you are too! Now that we’re back from ISTE 2013 we can get down to the serious business of summer fun.

As anyone in education will tell you, summer isn’t just about relaxation. It also brings much in the way of professional development, planning and developing new ideas for next year. . .all of which are right up our alley!

So over the course of the next four weeks you’ll see a lot of posts, pins and pics designed to help teachers brainstorm for the 2013-14 school year. We’ll also highlight many of our Common-Core aligned lesson plans that accompany great tools– like this Kidspiration 3 “Symbols and Leaders of the United States” Activity:

Lesson Plan Exemplar for Kidspiration 3 Activitiy

This template is perfect for any student studying America’s birth in summer school, but could also easily be used for a “First Day Back” knowledge test in August.

Also, don’t forget the official release of Kidspiration Maps into the Apple App store later this month! It was a big hit at ISTE and we can’t wait to share it with you!

Whether you’re beachside or braving the heat in a portable, Inspiration has you covered for school ideas both big and small. Stay cool and see you on social media!
