Monday, April 4, 2011, your Webspiration® Public Beta account converted to a 30-day trial of our new paid services. Now you’re wondering: How can I transfer all of my documents and account information over to Webspiration Classroom™ service or WebspirationPRO™ once I sign up for one of these services? I’ve got the answer! Here’s a few easy steps to help you through the process.
Choose Between Webspiration Classroom or WebspirationPRO
First you’ll want to decide which service you plan to convert your Webspiration Public Beta account over to: Webspiration Classroom or WebspirationPRO? Keep in mind that individuals with accounts in either Webspiration Classroom or WebspirationPRO may communicate and collaborate with one another. Below are some brief benefits of each service:
Webspiration Classroom
Webspiration Classroom is the new online writing, visual thinking and collaboration tool for students and teachers in working collaboratively in an educational environment. Webspiration Classroom subscriptions offer educators:
- A visual learning tool intended to support proven learning strategies in education that will take students through each step of the writing process with the integrated Diagram View, Outline View and collaboration tools.
- An extended learning time with 24/7 access to assignments that improve the teach-student work flow through assignment distribution, review and feedback.
- A visual learning tool that meets the new Common Core Standards, the American Association of School Librarians Standards for 21st Century Learning, the ISTE National Education Technology Standards (NETS-S) and Performance Indications for Students.
- A safe, reliable and ad-free environment for students to better learn, create, communicate and collaborate with students and teachers.
- Administrative controls to efficiently manage accounts and effectively monitor students’ online behavior.
- Technical support Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. ET to 8 p.m. ET so teachers can depend on Webspiration Classroom for every lesson plan.
WebspirationPRO
Designed for individuals and professionals, WebspirationPRO is a cloud-computing productivity tool for brainstorming, visual thinking, and collaboration, dedicated to promoting success in a knowledge-based society. WebspirationPRO offers college students, individuals and professionals:
- A place to easily brainstorm ideas, visualize concepts, organize information and collaborate with others anytime, anywhere.
- 24/7 and complete access to the documents needed for class, work, meetings and more while on the go.
- Complimentary online storage to keep important documents in one reliable and easily accessible place.
- Free updates to ensure the most up-to-date software access.
- Technical support Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. ET to 8 p.m. ET.
Transfer Your Account Information to Webspiration Classroom or WebspirationPRO
- It’s your first time signing in to Webspiration Classroom or WebspirationPRO.
You will be prompted to convert your account from an existing Webspiration Public Beta account. To do so, check the box that says “Convert my existing Webspiration account” and follow the on-screen instructions to transfer your Webspiration Public Beta account information and documents.
- - You’ve already created a new Webspiration Classroom or WebspirationPRO account, but want to transfer your documents from Webspiration Public Beta.
You can move your documents at any time by clicking on the Webspiration Classroom logo from within a document or from the Document Manager in Webspiration Classroom, which will take you to the Resource page. From here, click on “My Account” in the top right corner. This will take you to a page where you’ll see a button at the top that says “Move Documents from Another Account.” Click on this and follow the on-screen instructions to transfer your Webspiration Public Beta account information and documents.
FAQ
- What will transfer from my old account to my new one?
All of the following items will transfer to your new account: profile information, personal documents, submitted documents, document copies, returned documents, templates, personal templates, document status flags, collaboration settings, friends, comments, chats, and messages in the Message Center.
- - What will happen to my old account?
If you transfer your documents from a free Webspiration Public Beta account to a purchased subscription of Webspiration Classroom or WebspirationPRO, your documents will move, but your account will be removed immediately. You will no longer be able to log in to your Webspiration Public Beta account.
